Every day, we discover new ways for individuals living with Parkinson's disease to improve their daily quality of life and cultivate remarkable power, strength, flexibility, and speed. When you engage in structured exercise programs led by experienced coaches, you can break free from the challenges and experience enhanced physical and functional well-being. Boxing, as a form of exercise, involves dynamic movements in various planes of motion and constantly evolving routines as you advance in your workout. Our classes have demonstrated that individuals at any stage of Parkinson's can effectively reduce their symptoms and lead a healthier, happier life. Contact us today to learn more!


How to join: 


1) Assessments are required prior to participation and will take about an hour. Please call or email Austen or Mallory Spoonts at

 830-596-3440 or at southlake@rsbaffiliate.com. 


2) Pricing: Your assessment and your first class are free. Membership will be $85/month. 


3) You will need to purchase training/bag gloves and gel wraps/hand wraps. We recommend gel wraps, however, we will gladly teach you how to wrap your hands with traditional hand wraps. When looking for boxing gloves please avoid lace up gloves or MMA style gloves. Please contact us with any questions and we can help guide you in your purchase.

Coach Mallory Spoonts, PT, DPT

-Co-Owner of Rock Steady Boxing Dallas and Rock Steady Boxing Southlake 


Mallory is from Indianapolis, IN and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. The university has performed research on Rock Steady Boxing which is how she became introduced to the program. Mallory has a true passion for helping people with Parkinson\'s Disease and their families. She has personal experience with boxing and is excited to bring this program to the community to fight back against Parkinson\'s Disease!!!


Coach Austen Spoonts

Austen is from Llano, TX and graduated from the University of Houston. He works for a venture capital company. Austen met Mallory in the summer of 2014 and they married in the summer of 2017. Austen has personally witnessed Mallory’s passion and has grown a passion of his own. He also has personal experience with boxing and is excited to help fight back!  


Coach Lisa Aschenberg


Lisa is originally from Aurich, Germany but you’d never guess it with her Texas accent. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. Lisa has over 20 years’ experience in ballet and pointe, but these days she enjoys competitive running and weight-lifting. She has over 5 years’ experience teaching a community water aerobics program and designing group exercise routines. Lisa started working with Mallory in 2016 and their mutual passion for helping people with Parkinson’s inspired Lisa to get involved with this program. She is so excited to be part of this team and help fight back against Parkinson’s Disease


Monday and Wednesday: 11:00-12:00 pm

Tuesday and Thursday: 9:45-10:45 am
